12x20 Tarps
One of the more commonly-requested sizes, 12x20 tarps have several uses. A medium-sized material, such 12x20 tarps are often used as replacement or enclosure canopies for portable shelters, cover smaller truck loads, and protect an investment outdoors. Heavy-duty 12x20 tarps are ideal for outdoor storage, and each is treated to be waterproof, UV resistant, rot proof, and mildew resistant. When used outdoors, such tarps need to be held in place with bungee cords in order to fully protect the investment.
Portable shelters, such as portable garages and carports, are often designed from a galvanized steel frame and a polyethylene canopy. The steel frame typically has a lifespan of 10 to 20 years, while the canopy portion lasts about five. When the polyethylene canopy portion on a medium-sized round, peak, or flat-roof canopy needs to be replaced, find a 12x20 tarp. Generally, 12x20 tarps are ideal for 10 by 20 peaked shelters.
Many canopies are designed with a valance style, and while this is convenient for protecting a car, some vehicles and investments need more coverage. With additional tarps attached to the front and side of the structure, the canopy can provide full protection to any object inside. 12x20 heavy-duty tarps, in this case, can form side walls on larger shelters.
In addition to replacement canopies, 12x20 tarps are ideal for medium-sized trucks. When a load, such as wood or asphalt, is kept inside the bed of a dump truck, a tarp may be required. The material contains small objects, such as gravel, that may escape, and also provides waterproof protection. Asphalt and wood, in particular, need protection from water, and heavy-duty polyethylene 12x20 tarps can cover the area.
No matter if you need a medium- or heavy-duty tarp to protect an investment or attach to a truck or canopy, a 12x20 size has several applications.
